Long are the days when it was an abomination for women to have an affair with married men, in fact clan elders would look you differently incase you were found in such a mistake. Today it is now common for younger women to go for already established married men.
Some women who dated married men landed well but majority of them are still regretting and are not ready to get married again cursing all men as being dogs. There are many writings on internet , printed writings advising young ladies and men yearning to get married to be cautious enough on this journey, but again what’s the solutions to this mishap considering the fact that the narrative has not shaped the character in young generation.
That was just a by the way, the point is why do majority of women prefer dating married men and not consider men of their ages?
Most of them go for rich or even popular men. women need men who are capable. women need men who have already made progress in life in terms of possessions. Women are competitive and jealous, and so when they see a comfortable woman, to them this is the right man since he will also make them comfortable, that that’s fact!
At the age of 25, men are still not mature enough upstairs. At the same age that’s when they are up to enjoying life ,go partying, drinking and are still mamas boys. The real fact is that men mature slowly and are not ready to settle as early as 25.
For women its a different case, they mature faster and can only be dated or settle with someone who is five years older than them.
Another factor is that the bringing up of a child is very demanding and in most cases, it calls for a woman to stop working ,during the maternity period, the man should be providing, and so if he is not stable, the woman will suffer. Some girls prefer even quitting careers to raise a child and, therefore, their life partners should be providing.
If the first wife accepts her and she takes the position of a mistress, then there will be no confrontation. The wrecking of the marriage comes in when the first wife tries to protect the man, thinking the mistress is coming to destroy the marriage, but they only want to be added among the number.
Polygamy is considered worth in some communities like Luo where a man is allowed to marry more than one wife, and perhaps this might be some reason why young ladies end up dating married men.
